Following on from the glittering success of our debut event in Berlin last month, we were thrilled to bring the next ZEUS Fireside Chats to Hamburg and Frankfurt. As the evenings get darker and colder outside, gather round for more compelling MICE insights and cosy networking.
On Wednesday 27th November, we met in Hamburg – to get the insider view on the hotly anticipated Congress Center Hamburg. This major international venue has been undergoing comprehensive modernisation since 2017 and opens next year.
Guests gathered in the Elbschmiede Altona which, at over 150 years old, is one of the oldest buildings in Hamburg. A short distance from the Hamburg fish markets, the space was used as a fishing accessory factory until the 1920s and maintains its unique industrial characteristics and charm today.

The evening kicked off with a talk from the ZEUS founders highlighting the latest trends in the MICE industry before handing over to CCH Chief Operating Officer Heike Mahmoud and Head of Production Hartmut Hofmann. They offered insights into the planning process for their extraordinary project – and tipped us on what we can expect from one of Europe’s most modern congress centres.

Meanwhile, guests were kept refreshed by the delicious offerings from Beets&Roots, who provided fresh and flavourful bowls of goodness for a healthy kick!

And if you couldn’t be there in person – don’t worry! The onstage discussion was recorded live for the MICE Innovation Sessions Podcast. Tune in on Spotify spoti.fi/2OAkTCF and iTunes apple.co/2Ozgy2p.

The very next evening, on Thursday 28th November, we reconvened in Frankfurt for a Fireside Chat that focused on sustainability – a theme which is becoming increasingly important for all of us in the events and MICE industry.

The evening was hosted in Onlight Studio, a versatile loft space in Frankfurt. By day natural light floods the studio and by night it transforms into an atmospheric space, perfect for both welcoming in our guests from the winter chill and networking with other event professionals.

Paulo-Daniela Murgo from 2bdifferent gave an introduction on how they help businesses, festivals and caterers reduce their environmental impact. Although the journey to creating a sustainable event can be a long one, it is certainly a worthwhile path to take.
Lofthouse Catering wowed the guests with their freshly prepared finger food.

Guests and organisers had an incredible and productive time at both of these events, so many thanks to all who attended and contributed to the warmth in the room!
The end of the year is already approaching fast – but there is still time to be part of the next ZEUS Fireside Chats. Fegister for free now following the links below:
