IMEX made the leap to virtual this year with the launch of Planet IMEX – and Spacebase was proud to be part of it!

We heard last week from Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX Group, about how the virtual platform would be a way for the meetings and events community to get together, even though big-scale events are currently impossible.
Since then, we have been exploring the Planet IMEX and basking in the variety of content on offer – from educational talks and community news, to blissed-out tunes and the sound of the surf.
Yes, we all miss the hectic excitement and buzz of the legendary Messe Frankfurt floor. But the design and execution of Planet IMEX has gone a long way to soothing that sense of detachment. It clearly has been made with a lot of love by the IMEX team – so congratulations to them.
We were gad we could contribute – our turn came on Tuesday, as part of IMEX Community Day.
We organised the Crisis Innovation panel, together with our ZEUS partners, to face some of the big questions in the events industry – to share how startup models have been affected, and what insights we can bring from the world of event technology.
This was also for many of us our first livestream event, and it was great to see how smooth everything ran! If you couldn’t watch live, check out the recorded version below:
A huge thanks to all the participants – Julian was joined for the panel by Christian Funk (Tagungswirtschaft), Thorben Grosser (Event Mobi), Norbert Sroke (LineUpr) and Florian Kühne (MATE for Events).
And an even bigger thanks to our audience! It felt encouraging to see how engaged you all were, from London to Prague and Rome, and it was a real shame to run out of time before we could answer all the questions! Thanks for your participation and your willingness to get involved.
We’ll see you next time – hopefully live!
