7 Creative Spaces in London

Whether it is in some of the world’s top galleries and museums like the National Gallery and the V&A Museum or in secret nooks and crannies of the cosmopolitan city, creativity in London is never hard to find. This goes back to the capital’s roots: London’s advertising industry is one of the oldest and most established in the world. We’ve put together a quick list of inspiring and creative spaces in London to spark your imagination.

  1. The Forge, Docklands

This creative space in London is part of a Grade II listed building and contains an inventive mix of the forge’s original features and hi-spec interiors: alongside the exposed brick and ironwork and overhead cranes are state-of-the-art lighting rigs and 600 sq ft bleacher seating areas. This creative workshop venue in London is also home to a leading charity that supports and celebrates craftsmanship and artistry.

2. The Laban Building Foyer, Deptford Creek

The attention to detail in the design of this creative space in London is impressive. The striking, hand-drawn artwork by Micheal Craig-Martin welcomes guests into the open-plan reception space and leads the way to the bar area, which has seating for up to 40 people. The building itself is the first and only UK conservatoire dedicated to dance and music and was designed by the award-winning architects Herzog and Meuron, who are also celebrated for designing the Tate Modern and the Olympic Stadium in Beijing.
